Inspired by the handmade ceramic vegetable graters found throughout Portugal, this 2-hour handbuilding workshop will teach you how to create your own ceramic grater.
While garlic graters are common in the U.S., in Portugal these versatile pieces are used for much more than garlic, they can be used to grate tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, garlic, and other fresh ingredients.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to handbuild your own grater and create a unique, functional piece to use in your kitchen. No prior pottery experience is required.
